Third–also related to the forthcoming release of ROAM–I’m so humbled, awed, honored and excited to share with you that ROAM has been listed as a #1 New Release on Amazon AND has remained neck-and-neck with Angie Thomas’ forthcoming novel, ON THE COME UP. For those who aren’t familiar with Angie, you can find information using this link. Angie is the author of the #1 Bestseller, THE HATE U GIVE, a novel focusing on the Black Lives Matter movement and featuring a teenage girl who witnesses the police shooting of a childhood friend. It’s a wonderful book, and I’d encourage all of you to read it. It is such a huge honor to be listed anywhere near Angie’s book!

Fourth, and finally…as many of you know, my father passed away on January 13th. It’s been a long six months, but we finally laid him to rest last week at Arlington National Cemetery.

WalkLogo_cmyk-640x340A brilliant man who held three master’s degrees and taught high school and college for more than 20 years after retiring from the U.S. Army, he suffered from dementia and was unable to write his name or even remember the names of his family at the end. To honor him, I’ve decided to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. If this cause interests you, please consider making a small donation in honor of my father. Together we can end Alzheimer’s and Dementia so that no other individual or family has to endure this demoralizing disease.

You can make a donation by using this link. If you’d like to view my father’s obituary, you can use this link.
